The key initial purpose / focus of the IPPF as currently constituted is to promote and support best business practices in related government policy and regulation for the Power Industry in Asia.

A key part of this "purpose" is to coordinate the efforts of the international / multi-national investment / management community in seeking a level playing field for all elements in the industry. One such effort is to work toward proper "Rule of Law" disciplines across the region.
